Overview

Proactive venous solutions

The PowerPICC Provena™ Catheter with SOLO™ Valve Technology does not require the use of heparin flush solution to lock the catheter lumens, and is indicated for short or long-term peripheral access to the central venous system for intravenous therapy, blood sampling, power injection of contrast media and allows for central venous pressure monitoring.

Industry best practice

Supports INS recommendations

By combining advances in polyurethane material technology and manufacturing processes, BD has created smaller-diameter* PICCs that maintain high performance for infusion therapy and help align to 2024 Infusion Nursing Society (INS) guidelines recommending the use of smaller diameter catheters.1

"The appropriate vascular access device (VAD), peripheral or central, is selected based on the prescribed therapy or treatment regimen, anticipated duration of therapy, vascular pathway, patient's age, comorbidities, history of infusion therapy and vascular access, patient preference for VAD type and location, overall vascular health (history of difficult intravenous access, vessel, and skin health at insertion site), and ability and resources available to care for the VAD.”
