Updates and New Features

We have made several updates to improve your experience.

  • The order page now shows the shipping condition (e.g., “Standard Delivery”, “Rush One Day Delivery”) and the shipping location for each line on the order.
  • When the carrier delivering a specific shipment is FedEx, opening the line on an order with the “+” symbol, retrieves FedEx tracking information for the first tracking number listed on that line, displaying who signed for it, the delivery status, etc.
  • Customers who are registered to the portal can submit their service-related claims, such as Shortages, Overages, Returns, Pricing Errors, etc. directly from an order page. Just hit the “Submit a Claim” button at the top right of the Order Details page and follow the simple steps to submit that case. The newly created case number will be provided after the submission completes.

Getting Started

Customers, distributors, and wholesalers in the U.S. and Canada who have an account with BD can register for access. If you are already registered for another BD portal, please log in here with your email address and password to request access to the BD Customer Care Portal. Customers, distributors, and wholesalers without an account can use a Quick Search query using a purchase order number and shipping destination zip code or postal code to find order status information.

By default, email verification will already be set up for you. If prompted for multi-factor authentication, you will be able to choose one of three options for the additional verification: email, text message, or phone call. If you choose text message or phone call, you will need to enter a phone number to be used for verification.

Please ensure that emails from BD, specifically CustomerPortal@bd.com, are not blocked by your organization. If problems persist, please use the "Contact Us" link on the login/registration page to contact a support representative for assistance.

To access the BD Customer Care Portal, please use an internet browser such as Chrome or Edge. Not all BD portals are compatible with Internet Explorer.

We have made the BD Customer Care Portal login process easier by enabling the use of your phone number or email address for multifactor authentication into our various portals. You also do not need to multifactor every time you login, unless additional verification is flagged (e.g., when you sign-in from a new device or location).

The login portal has also been updated to match the refreshed BD.com.

Using the BD Customer Care Portal

Currently, the BD Customer Care Portal allows customers to:

  • Conduct a quick search, view order status, download packing lists and invoices for orders.
  • View shipping conditions (e.g., “Standard Delivery”, “Rush One Day Delivery”) and shipping locations for each material line on the order.
  • Retrieve live FedEx tracking information, including who signed for the shipment, delivery status, etc.
  • Issue resolution and tracking: Digitally submit cases like Product Inquiry’s, Order Inquiry’s, Product Complaints, and even Claims (Shortages/Overages/Pricing issues, etc.). Additionally, you can track those case statuses as they are updated by our internal support teams.
  • Receive proactive Recall/Field Action notifications.

When you open the line, it retrieves live FedEx tracking information for the first tracking number listed on that line. It will display who signed for it, when/if it delivered, the shipment status, etc.

We continually assess additional offerings for carrier data as they become available for us to display on the BD Customer Care Portal.
