COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) is an evolving situation and as such we understand that labs are still developing testing protocols. We strive to provide COVID-19 virus prevalence and patient impact with BD HealthSight™ Infection Advisor with MedMined™ Insights (formerly MedMined™ Surveillance Advisor} sentinel and reporting capabilities. Our data implementation teams are proactively reviewing the raw archive data for any message types containing COVID-19 results to help facilitate this process.
If your hospital is testing for COVID-19, provide samples of how the individual testing protocols are listed to ensure that we have every variant appropriately recorded. In the unlikely event that you note a missing result, let us know to ensure further investigation. Additionally, as part of your preparation, if you are adding any new units or beds or reallocating beds to different unit types, let us know.
