BD offers a wide array of filiforms and followers. Filiforms are used to get past difficult strictures whereas followers are used for dilation and drainage.

Overview

The woven filiform is inserted into the urethra to navigate through strictures, and will start to coil once it reaches the bladder. There is no lumen. A follower, sound, or stylet is attached to the end of the filiform to increase dilation.  Filiforms range in size from 2- 6 French and have a straight, spiral or Coude tip.
