Overview

Accessing small and fragile vessels is challenging. Having to worry if the catheter will have to be removed prematurely, and if you are protected should not add to the challenge. That is where the BD Neoflon™ Pro IV Cannula can help.

Based on the BD Instaflash™ needle technology and using proprietary BD Vialon™ biomaterial, BD Neoflon™ Pro IV Cannula is designed to access smaller, more fragile vessels with care and precision; all that while protecting clinicians against the trauma of unwanted needlestick injury.

Features and Benefits

Easy to hold and stabilize

The BD Neoflon™ Pro IV Cannula is ergonomically designed for all insertion techniques. The anti-rotation tab is designed to enhance cannulation control and provide tactile feedback during insertion.

Visual flashback in the catheter

BD Neoflon™ Pro IV Cannula incorporates the BD Instaflash™ needle technology, visually providing immediate feedback of successful vessel entry, which may reduce the number of insertion attempts.

Longer dwell times

BD Neoflon™ Pro IV Cannulas are made using proprietary BD Vialon™ biomaterial which softens up to 70% once in the vein. BD Vialon™ enables longer dwell times and reduces the risk of mechanical phlebitis by up to 50%.1*

Needlestick injury protection

BD Neoflon™ Pro Safety™ IV Catheter, an advanced version of BD Neoflon™ Pro IV Cannula, incorporates a passive needle shield technology that automatically covers the needle after cannulation, protecting against needlestick injuries.
